Artist's Description

The unique Grand Island East Channel Lighthouse is located just north of Munising in Alger County along the shore of Michigan's beautiful Upper Peninsula. Surrounded by the crystal clear turquoise waters of Munising Bay in Lake Superior, this schoolhouse style Lighthouse was built in 1868 and was deactivated in 1908. It stands 45 feet tall and is now owned privately.
